Ayurvedic Diet Consultation

At Ayurveda Bliss, you will get a personalized diet plan according to your Body type. Ayurvedic Diet Consultation is tailored to an individual’s constitution and considering all factors such as (Non-vegetarian, vegan, vegetarian) age, body type, lifestyle, season etc. Ayurvedic diet plans are popular because it’s not only to promote better health for the body but also for the mind. The Ayurvedic diet is a type of eating plan that sets guidelines when, how and what you should eat based on your body type. According to this diet, your dosha determines which foods you should eat to promote inner balance.

For example, the pitta dosha focuses on cooling, energizing food and limits spices, nuts, and seeds. Meanwhile, the Vata dosha favours warm, moist and grounding food while restricting dried fruits, bitter herbs, and raw veggies. Finally, the Kapha dosha limits heavy food like nuts, seeds, and oils in favour of fruits, veggies and legumes. In Ayurveda, food is categorized based on their physical qualities and the way they are said to affect your body. This helps determine which ingredients work best for different dosha.

Far more a lifestyle than a diet, a famous Ayurvedic saying is, “When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use; when diet is correct, medicine is of no need.” Dietary and nutritional practices are vital to healthy living and food is used as medicine as an important component of every Ayurvedic treatment plan. Ayurveda has a theory that anything can be food, medicine or a poison, depending on who is eating, what is eaten and how much is eaten. A familiar usage in this context: “One man’s food is another man’s poison”. Food in human body is transformed first into Rasa and then successive processes involve its conversion into blood, muscle, fat, bone, bone-marrow, reproductive elements and ojas. Thus, food is basic to all the metabolic transformations and life activities. Lack of nutrients in food or improper transformation of food leads to a variety of disease.
